Practising yoga for 12 years, and teaching worldwide for the past three, the roots of Naomi's teaching are expressed through the creativity of her own personal style; a background in dance and performance and independent studies in Ayurveda, Polarity Therapy, Thai Massage and yoga philosophy.
After extensive study and travel in India, including time with Ashtanga master Shri K. Pattabhis Jois and senior Sivananda Hatha Yoga teacher Prahalad Reddy, Naomi travelled to the Sivananda Yoga HQ in Canada to assist her own teacher in training other yoga teachers to certified and advanced levels.
In class Naomi focuses on the integration of breath and movement, awareness and alignment, strength and flexibility. Through the use of challenging, slow yet dynamic and creative sequencing, students explore the natural and graceful flow of body and breath, developing the skill to tune into their bodies and respond appropriately.
Often a focus is working with mental and physical resistance; softening the grip of mind programming and challenging perceptions of our own limitations. Each class is taught so that the student can experience a form of meditation. Moving from action to stillness.

In classes you will find all aspects of yoga including chanting, pranayama, meditation, plus dynamic movement and deep relaxation techniques - all explored against a backdrop of uplifting and inspirational music. Naomi is also a fully qualified Thai Yoga Masseur.
